Terms of Service
1. The agreement
These terms are an agreement between Wrightmark LLC, a Georgia limited liability company, which provides the Callum service at callum.vet (“Callum”, “we”, “us”), and the veterinary practice that creates an account (“the clinic”, “you”). Callum.vet is a service provided by Wrightmark LLC, a Georgia limited liability company. By creating an account, or by using the service after someone at your practice accepted these terms during signup, you agree to them. The service is offered to independent veterinary practices; you must be authorized to bind your practice to accept.
2. What Callum is, and what it is not
Callum is an AI front-office assistant. It answers routine questions from your own knowledge base, captures appointment and prescription-refill requests for your team, and routes urgent contacts to the people you designate.
- Callum is not a veterinarian, is not a veterinary expert, and does not practice veterinary medicine. It never diagnoses, never assesses symptoms, never recommends treatments or doses, and never tells a client a visit is unnecessary. Nothing in the service states, claims, or implies that Callum holds any veterinary qualification, credential, registration, or license of any kind.
- Clinical content is yours. Emergency routing rules and emergency instructions take effect only after someone at your practice has signed them in your console; Callum records that signature with the signer's name and the date. Callum follows what they say; it does not write them.
- Callum verifies no credentials. We do not check, confirm, or hold any record of the license, registration, certification, or qualification of any person at your practice, and nothing in the service should be read as our having done so. Your practice alone decides who is qualified to author and sign its clinical content, and your practice alone is responsible for that decision.
- Refills are captured, never approved. Callum acknowledges receipt of refill requests with fixed language and passes them to your team. Requests naming controlled substances are routed to a person with zero automation.
- Callum always discloses that it is an AI at the start of every conversation, and this disclosure may not be disabled.
3. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate clinic information and keep your knowledge base truthful. Clients receive what your team wrote.
- Before going live, have your emergency terms and emergency instructions authored and signed by a person your practice has determined is qualified under the laws of your state to make those decisions on its behalf, and keep them current. That determination is yours; we do not make it and we do not verify it.
- Maintain your escalation chain so urgent contacts reach a real person, and acknowledge escalation pages promptly.
- Use messaging lawfully: send messages only where you have the client's consent, and never use the service for spam, marketing to people who have opted out, or unlawful content.
- Keep account credentials confidential and assign roles appropriately. You are responsible for actions taken under your accounts.
- Do not attempt to make Callum produce medical advice, disable its safety behavior, or misrepresent it as a human.
- Your clinic is responsible for the lawfulness of call recording where your state requires notice or consent beyond the disclosure Callum makes automatically, and for the correctness of your own forwarding, number, and telephony configuration.
4. Client messaging and consent
Callum honors STOP keywords everywhere, across every channel: a client who texts STOP receives one final confirmation and then no further messages for your clinic until they opt back in. Consent is checked at the moment a message is sent, for the purpose of that message. You agree not to circumvent these controls.
SMS program terms — Callum. These terms apply to every text message sent through Callum, and they apply to the person receiving the message as well as to the clinic. Callum is the automated text assistant operated by Wrightmark LLC on behalf of the veterinary clinic a person has contacted. A person receives messages from it only after they have called or texted that clinic themselves. It identifies itself as the clinic's automated assistant, answers questions about the clinic's hours, services and prices from content the clinic itself wrote, confirms that appointment and prescription-refill requests have been received for the clinic's staff to act on, and relays the clinic's own written emergency referral instructions. It sends no marketing.
Message frequency varies and depends on what the client asks the clinic for. Message and data rates may apply, charged by the recipient's carrier and not by us. Reply STOP — or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT — to any message to stop messages for that clinic; reply START to opt back in. Reply HELP for help, or write to support@callum.vet. Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages. Our handling of personal information, including mobile information collected in the SMS consent process, is described in the Privacy Policy.
5. The service, honestly stated
Callum is software, and software can fail. When any part of the service cannot do its job, Callum is built to fail toward people: clients receive your clinic's own emergency referral instructions and your designated contacts are notified. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and you should maintain the emergency arrangements your practice would have without Callum. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
Callum is designed to answer all calls within the allowances of the subscriber's plan. Callum is not responsible for calls that are missed as a result of third-party service outages, carrier or network failures, or other system malfunctions outside its reasonable control.
We improve the service continuously, and we may add, change, or withdraw features. Where a change materially reduces a capability your plan includes, we will tell your clinic through the console before it takes effect. Safety behavior — escalation, emergency routing, AI disclosure, and fail-open behavior — is never reduced.
Some features are marked early access. They may be incomplete, may change, and may be withdrawn, and they are provided without warranty. Early access is never applied to escalation, emergency routing, or any other safety behavior.
To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
6. Veterinary responsibility
All veterinary care, triage decisions, prescriptions, and clinical judgments are made by your practice and the people your practice designates. Callum provides administrative assistance only, holds no veterinary qualification of its own, and verifies no one else's. You are responsible for reviewing captured requests and escalations, for deciding who at your practice is qualified to make each clinical decision, and for all clinical decisions and outcomes.
7. Plans, fees, and cancellation
- Every plan is month to month. There is no annual contract, and you can cancel any month.
- Prices, included allowances, and published overage rates are shown on the pricing page before you buy. Setup fees, where they exist, are published and waivable through the self-serve checklist.
- Voice is measured in whole minutes. We round every voice call up to the next whole minute, both for the minutes included in your plan and for any minutes used beyond them. A call lasting twenty seconds uses one minute of your allowance; a call lasting sixty-one seconds uses two. This is how our telephony carrier charges us, and we pass it on unchanged — there is no separate per-call fee. The number of calls Callum answers for your clinic is not capped.
- The After Hours plan is free, requires no payment card, and has published caps; safety behavior is never capped on any plan.
- If a payment fails, we retry and tell you before anything is turned off.
- Card payments are handled by a payment processor through hosted payment links; Callum never receives card numbers.
- Plans renew automatically each month until cancelled.
- Fees already paid are not refunded except where the law requires it or where we have said otherwise in writing.
- We may change prices; a change takes effect for your clinic no earlier than 30 days after we tell you, and you may cancel before it does.
- Payments are handled by our payment processor, whose own terms apply to the payment itself.
8. Your data
Veterinary records are your property. Conversation history, contact entries, and your knowledge base are held for you and are exportable. Your practice-management system remains the official system of record; Callum does not modify it. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. We use service providers (including Supabase, Twilio, Anthropic, Google, and our application-hosting provider) to operate the service, as the Privacy Policy describes. The signup lookup of your practice uses the Google Places API and is subject to Google's Terms of Service at policies.google.com/terms.
We may use information about how the service performs — volumes, timings, error rates, and similar operational measurements, with identifiers removed — to operate, secure, and improve the service. We do not sell your data, and we do not use one clinic's clinical content to answer another clinic's clients.
The service and this site may link to sites we do not operate. We are not responsible for their content or their practices.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the service for any purpose other than operating a veterinary practice's front office;
- submit human-health information to the service;
- interfere with the service's operation, probe its security, or access another clinic's data;
- resell the service or misrepresent who is providing it.
Veterinary records are not protected health information, and Callum is not a HIPAA covered entity or business associate. We do not offer a Business Associate Agreement, which is why this section forbids submitting human-health information to the service.
10. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account for material breach of these terms, for unlawful use, or where required by law; where practical we will tell you first. On termination we delete or return your data on request, subject to legal retention obligations. Fees owed at termination remain payable. After an account is closed we keep your data available for export for 30 days and then delete it, except where the law requires us to keep it longer.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: Callum's total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to us for the service in the twelve months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim and (b) fifty US dollars (US$50); and Callum is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, or goodwill. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify Callum against third-party claims arising from your clinical services, the content your practice authors, or your unlawful use of the service. That obligation also covers claims brought by your own clients or callers arising from your clinical services or from content your practice authored, and it survives termination of these terms.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will notify your clinic through the console before it takes effect; continuing to use the service after the effective date accepts the change. The version and date at the top of this page identify the current terms.
14. General, governing law, and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, a party must send the other written notice describing the dispute, and the parties will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days. Except as provided below, any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, before a single arbitrator, seated in Forsyth County, Georgia; judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction. Either party may instead bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court, and either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in court for infringement of intellectual property, breach of confidentiality, or misuse of the service. Both parties waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class or collective proceeding. Arbitration fees are allocated under the AAA rules. If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These terms plus the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about the service.
15. Intellectual property
Wrightmark LLC and its licensors own the service: the software, the models and prompts, the routing and escalation logic, the interface, and the Callum name and marks. Your clinic receives a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is in good standing, for the purpose of operating your practice's front office.
You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the service, use it to build or train a competing product, or remove or obscure any attribution.
Your clinical content, your knowledge base, your records and your conversation history remain yours, as section 8 states; nothing in this section changes that.
16. Our communications to your clinic
By creating an account you agree that we may contact the people your clinic designates, at the addresses and numbers they give us, about the things running the service requires: onboarding, security, billing, outages, and changes to these terms. These are service communications and continue for as long as your account exists.
Marketing and product-education messages are separate: we send them only where the recipient has agreed to receive them, and any recipient may stop them at any time by replying STOP to a text, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or writing to support@callum.vet. Stopping marketing does not stop service communications.
We do not use AI voice calling to market to your clinic.
